PURPOSE:To prevent the overrunning of wheels, the no-load revolution speed increase of an engine and its stalling, by leading out a rear drive shaft from an automatic transmission for the front wheels and a front drive shaft from an automatic transmission for the rear wheels and coupling these drive shafts to each other through a propeller shaft. CONSTITUTION:The motive power of a front engine 1a is applied through an automatic transmission 2a etc. to drive front wheels 3a, while that of a rear engine 1b is applied through an automatic transmission 2b etc. to drive rear wheels 3b. The driving forces of the front and rear wheels 3a, 3b act to the rear and front wheels through a propeller shaft 7. When either of the front wheels 3a or the rear wheels 3b are about to be overrun because of possible insufficiency in the gripping forces of the tires, the load upon the rear or front wheels is transmitted to the front or rear wheels to change their revolution speed respectively. The front and the rear wheels 3a, 3b thus compensate each other as to their revolution speeds to stabilized the movement of a vehicle. |
