PURPOSE:To maintain favorable seal action and to simplify the maintenance by forming lubricating oil guide ribs on the opposing surfaces of the cylinder block and the covering member so that these ribs will protrude from the surface and be abutted with each other. CONSTITUTION:A bearing hole 14 of a cam 13 is formed on the output shaft protruding surface 1a of a cylinder block 1, at the higher position than the bearing section 5 of a crank shaft 3. An oil seal member 11 is inserted between a crank shaft inserting hole 8 and the outside of the crank shaft 3. A lubricating oil guide rib 17 is formed between the lower part of the cam shaft hole 14 and the upper part of the crank shaft 3, extending approximately horizontally. The lubricating oil (A) flows over the upper surfaces 17a, 18a of the lubricating oil guide rib 17 and is supplied to the sliding section between an oil seal member 11 and the crank shaft 3. In this manner the sealing action of the oil seal member is maintained under favorable condition and the wear of oil seal member is prevented. |
