摘要 Combination disc brakes on motor vehicles, which can be used hydraulically as a service brake and mechanically as a parking brake, are only rarely used because of their complex construction and the complex manipulation involved in changing the linings. This is a major obstacle to the generalised use of disc brakes on the rear axle of passenger vehicles. The invention proposes mechanical force transmission elements for mechanical disc-brake application devices. These elements extend automatically in accordance with lining wear and, when the linings are changed, can be shortened again, i.e. reset, either without the actuation of resetting devices or by very simple resetting procedures. This is achieved by uni-directional locking of the force transmission elements when acted upon by the mechanical force generators. When not acted upon by this force, these force transmission elements are free to move axially in both directions, i.e. can be extended (readjustment) by the action of axial force from the brake linings or shortened (resetting when the linings are changed).
