The torsional-vibration damper is particularly for absorbing torque fluctuations in an IC engine. It has two coaxial flywheels turning for a limited amount in relation to each other in opposition to damping equipment. One of these is coupled to the engine and the other to the input member of the transmission mechanism. Two bearings (26,27) are mounted on the member (10), the first supporting it from the engine crankshaft (5) and the second the second flywheel (4) on the member.
