PURPOSE:To obtain easily molded resin item the surface of which is united strongly with a metallic layer and having favorable dimensional accuracy, by making pressure molding of a resinous molding material after metallic coating has been made to adhere on the inside of a pressure molding metal mold by a metal spraying method, CONSTITUTION:Metallic coating is made to adhere on a part or the whole of the inside of a metal mold for pressure molding, which has been processed in a mirror surface or fine uneven state, through a metal spraying method. It is desirable to keep a temperature of a metal mold adjusted at 100-180 deg.C when spraying is carried out on the inside of the metal mold. Then a resinous molding material is supplied within the metal mold and made to cure or solidify by heating or cooling under pressing, which is molded unitarily with metallic coating. As for the resinous molding material, a sheet molding compound or a bulk molding compound making use of unsaturated polyester resin is desirable. It is desirable to press the metal mold at molding pressure of more than 10kg/cm<2> and at a temperature falling within a range of 100-180 deg.C. |
