Desiccator insert for flat packages

The desiccator insert (10) has a plastic insertion body with a covering plate (30) and a peripheral wall (18) which projects from one flat side of said covering plate and can be inserted in the manner of a stopper in the open narrow side of an associated flat package. Introduced into the hollow space surrounded by the peripheral wall (18) is a desiccator filling (28) which is enclosed in the hollow space by a moisture-permeable covering plate (30). The covering plate (30) is fixed by a number of beaded fastening tabs (32) which are moulded onto the free edge of the peripheral wall (18). <IMAGE>
