PURPOSE:To achieve the checking of a sentence quickly with a higher printing speed by drafting a certain number of dots confined to a trial printing to reduce dots composing a character. CONSTITUTION:When performing a trial printing, a draft mode specifying command is fed to a data editing section. Receiving this command, the data editing control section sends the draft mode command to a printing section 2. Receiving this, the printing secting latches this mode in a latch circuit 6. Consequently, the print control section 7 drafts and extracts data at an interval of one dot train from a data buffer 5 to be transferred to a printing section 9. At the same time, with a printing speed control section, a drive motor 10 at the printing section is rotated at a higher speed than normal corresponding to data drafted. |
