Process for stabilisation of polyvinyl chloride-based polymers, consisting of the combined use: a. of an effective quantity of at least one organic zinc derivative; b. of an effective quantity of at least one organic derivative of a metal of group IIa of the Periodic Classification of the elements; c. of an effective quantity of at least one 2-mercapto-N-arylacetamide. The invention also relates to the stabilised polymers thus obtained. Colourless and transparent shaped articles are obtained from polymers thus stabilised.
