A stereoscopic colour TV system employs three colour reference signals with information on the green component (G1) of the first half-picture and the red (R2) and blue (B2) components of the second half-picture. In addition, at the transmitter, the individual red and blue (R1, B1) components of te first half-picture and the green component of the second half-picture are derived. A first composite signal is formed by matrixing the three components of the first half picture and this is combined with the green signal (G1) to derive a red-blue-magenta signal. The primary signals for the second half-picture are matrixed into two composite signals to modulate a first sub-carrier with information on the red and magenta components and a second sub-carrier with information on the blue and magenta components.
|
