PURPOSE:To obtain a compact bearing device which has reduced deflection of a shaft with high precision by using balls bearing having inner and outer races to support an end of a shaft together with balls having contact with the rolling contact surface at the outer circumference to support the other end of the shaft respectively. CONSTITUTION:The rotor 67 of a motor 9 is fixed to the lower end of a bearing part 10 at a drive part of a magnetic disk 2 by means of a screw 68 and supported by a ball bearing 69 having inner and outer races. While the rolling contact surface 70 of balls 72 of a ball bearing is formed on the outer circumferential surface of the disk 2 at the other end of the part 10. Thus the load received by an outer race 71 is transmitted directly to a shaft 11 via the balls 72. In such a way, the output side of the shaft 11 receives directly the load with no use of an inner race. This prevents the shaft deflection at the output side and therefore secures high accuracy. Furthermore the length of the shaft is reduced since a rotor is fixed at the end of the shaft via a screw. Thus it is possible to attain a compact bearing device. |
