发明名称 PROPAGATING LIGHT DETECTION APPARATUS OF OPTICAL FIBER WITHOUT CUTTING
摘要 PURPOSE:To make it possible to set the measuring condition of an optical fiber to be detected to a constant one by efficiently detecting leaked light power with respect to the power of light propagating through the optical fiber, by mounting a first member having a recessed part, a second member having a protruded part for bringing the optical fiber into close contact with said recessed part and a light guide for guiding incident light at an incident end to a detection means. CONSTITUTION:First and second members 11, 12 are mounted and a recessed part 13 is formed to the first member 11 while a protruded part 14 having a diameter smaller than that of the recessed part 13 is mounted to the second member 12. An optical fiber 1 to be detected is arranged in the recessed part 13 of the member 11 and pressed to the incident end of an optical fiber 16 appearing to the wall surface of the recessed part 13 by the protruded part 14 so as to be closely contacted with said recessed part 13. In addition, bending is imparted to the optical fiber 1 to be detected along the recessed part 13 and light power leaked and emitted to the outside is efficiently incident on the incident end of the optical fiber 16 at the bent part and guided to an element 20 to be detected. The member 12 is attached to the member 11 by a hinge and the protruded part 14 is pressed to the recessed part 13 by a spring 22. By this structure, if the number of the optical fibers 16 are increased, an attenuation amount becomes small and efficient measurement is enabled.
