CMI coder

In a CMI coder, which is constructed of flipflops and logic gates, the clock is linked to the flipflop and gate signals so that no spikes which would falsify the signal occur. Time-critical signal paths are avoided to a very large extent. The clock signal is converted into the CMI-coded signal (CMI) by masking out or mixing in two bit masks (MA, MO). Seams in the addition of the CMI-coded signal are covered by a signal by means of a further linkage (GS, GC), so that no spikes occur (Fig. 1). <IMAGE>
