PURPOSE:To enable inexpensive formation of a sepn. plate for printing having high quality by converting the data of the image formed by a computer to data for forming the sepn. plate for printing and forming the sepn. plate for printing by utilizing a means such as a scanner for photoengraving in accordance with said data. CONSTITUTION:The image data recorded in a recording medium such as an MT1 or the like recording the data indicating the image formed by a computer is read with a reader 2 and is fed to processor 3 which stores said data in an image memory 5 and displays the image on a monitor 6. The operator makes adjustment such as correction of gradation, correction of colors, etc. while checking the image on the monitor 6. Conversion of color coordinates with RGB- YMCK and correction of gradation are performed by the processor 3 in accordance with such adjustment and at the same time the size change such as magnification, reduction, etc. to the preliminarily instructed output size is executed. The conversion of the image data to data on a sepn. plate for printing is thus completed. The data is fed to an output device 4 and the sepn. plate for printing is formed. |
