PURPOSE:To prevent decrease in image density owing to imperfect mounting of a cartridge by providing a projection to be superposed on the projection of a toner cartridge which has completed insertion into a toner box and roration to the inside of a door of a developing device. CONSTITUTION:A flat plate-shaped projection 10 of a cartridge 6 is positioned horizontally when the cartridge 6 is inserted into a toner box 5 and is rotated after the toner cartridge is exchanged for the purposed of replenishing a toner. On the other hand, a flat plate-shaped projection 11 is also provided to the inside of the door provided to the main unit of a copying machine. When the door is closed, the projections 10, 11 are horizontally superposed on each other and the slit 8 of the cartridge 6 coincides with the slit 9 of the toner box 5. The copying operation cannot be made unless the slits 8, 9 coincide thoroughly with each other and therefore the decrease in the image density of the copy owing to imperfect mounting of the cartridge 6 is thoroughly prevented. |
