PURPOSE:To compensate for a defect by a conventional system, and to manufacture a rotary type chopper easily by forming an image by using a condensing mirror or a condenser lens from sampling beams by the chopper and arranging a laser mode observing plate to the image forming surface. CONSTITUTION:Laser beams 2 emitted from a laser oscillator 1 are sampled by a chopper blade 5, the surface thereof is roughened-surface machined. Since the chopper blade functions as a scattering body for proper laser beams at that time, laser beams are changed into scattered light and reflected. Laser beams changed into the scattered light are condensed by a condenser lens 11, and the image is formed on a laser mode observing plate 3. A mode of a laser can be observed by observing the image by a proper method such as the naked eye or a TV camera. An inverted virtual image is observed on the mode observing plate 3 when using the condenser lens 11, and an object image is obtained on the mode observing plate 3 when using a condensing mirror 13. |
