摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To attain a desired large quantity of light in a short time and to shorten the flash duration by providing two main capacitors and charging them in the parallel connection state, and supplying the charged electric charge to a flash discharge tube connected in series state at a flash generation time. CONSTITUTION:The output of a boosting power source 1 is supplied to lines l1 and l2, and a switch element 9 is turned off because a switching control signal (b) from a starting circuit 4 is at the low level. Consequently, the first and the second main capacitors 5 and 10 are charged to a voltage near a voltage V1. When the charging operation is completed, a neon lamp 3b is lit. When an X contact 4a is closed after the completion of charging, a light emission start signal (a) from the starting circuit 4 is supplied to a trigger electrode 6c of a flash discharge tube 6. Simultaneously, the high-level switch control signal (b) is supplied to the gate of the element 9. Then, two main capacitors 5 and 10 are turned on. That is, a voltage V0 equivalent to the voltage connected in series state is applied through the switch 9. The voltage V0 is twice as high as the voltage V1 or V2, and a large quantity of light is attained in a short flash time.</p>
