PURPOSE:To take a measurement of cable length without any error even when a cable diameter varies by multiplying the integral value of rotation of a drum by a correction coefficient based upon the cable diameter and a drum diameter. CONSTITUTION:When the drum rotates, its rotation is detected by a pulse transmitter 4. The ouput pulse signal of the pulse transmitter 2 is integrated by a counter 5. The value of this counter 5 is considered to be the product of the number of revolutions of the drum, pi, and Dd. Then, the cable diameter is set by a setting part 7. This value is denoted as Dc. The correction coefficient defined by 1+Dc/Dd is calculated by a correction coefficient computing part 8, and the value of the counter 5 is multiplied by the coefficient through a multiplier 9 to display the result on a display part 6 as the cable length. Therefore, the accurate cable length after the diameter error of the cable in use is corrected is displayed on the display device 6. |
