A shape-forming apparatus (10) for carcases of radial tyres is described. In the shape-forming apparatus (10) the expansion of the forming apparatus is exactly controlled by a central, expandable bellows (16) in which a narrow section of the, in the axial direction, central region of the forming apparatus starts the expansion. Preferably an arrangement of wires (17) extending in the axial direction is fastened to bead-gripping apparatuses (13, 14) and arranged such that the wires are subjected to tensile stress during the rotation of the bellows in such a manner that the central region is held in an exactly determined central position during the expansion. …<IMAGE>… |
