In an apparatus for aerobic fermentation having a conventional aerating and moving device, equipped with a self-priming impeller, the aerating and moving device is connected to an air outlet of a blower, which can deliver a greater quantity of air than is taken in by the self-priming impeller operating on its own. An excellent result in terms of aeration and movement is achieved with the aid of a reduced power requirement.
