<p>PURPOSE:To locate the center of a rotor with high accuracy by providing a rotary reference shaft having a spherical end and a spring member for urging said shaft to the axially projecting side of a spindle in the rotary center of a yoke to nsert the spherical end of the reference shaft into a tapered center hole in the rotor. CONSTITUTION:A field 12 is secured fixedly to the peripheral edge of a spindle 11 projecting from an end of a spindle motor 10, and a yoke 13 facing the field 12 is screwed onto a threaded end portion 11a of the spindle 11. In this case, into a through hole 11b formed in the shaft center of the spindle 11 is inserted a rotary reference shaft 14 extending through the center of the yoke 13, and a coil compression spring 15 is inserted into a center hole 14a formed in the rotary reference shaft 14. Also, the projecting end of the yoke 13 of the reference shaft 14 is formed with a spherical portion 16. Thus, the spherical portion 16 of the reference shaft 14 is inserted into the tapered rotary center hole in a rotor such as desk hub so that the center of the rotor is located with high accuracy.</p> |
