PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of operation by displaying the quantity of copies on a two-digit, seven-segment display part during copying operation, and displaying a minus at the high-order digit and the return quantity at the low- order digit if jamming occurs. CONSTITUTION:While originals are conveyed successively and normal copying operation is performed, the quantity of copies is displayed on the two-digit, seven-segment display part through a port of a CPU. If jamming occurs, the decision on the jamming is made under the control of the CPU from the difference between the quantity of discharged copies and the number of fed originals to display the minus symbol at a segment (g) of the high-order digit and the return quantity on the segments of the low-order digit, thereby feeding originals backward until the display attains to ''0''. Consequently, the correct quantity of copies is displayed accurately to rationalize the copying operation. |
