PURPOSE:To uniformly supplement electrolyte to a matrix by forming a liquid storage groove contacting the side edge of matrix and liquid supply path connecting zigzag liquid storage groove in the periphery of each gas separating plate. CONSTITUTION:A liquid storage groove 8 contacting the side edge of a matrix 4 is formed in the one side periphery of each gas separating plate 7. A liquid supply path 9 connects zigzag each adjacent liquid storage groove 8. When the matrix 4 is dried by long operation of a cell, electrolyte such as phosphiric acid poured from a pouring hole in the lower part of a cell stack 1 flows a zigzag liquid supplement path comprising each liquid supply path 9 and each liquid storage groove 8 from the lower part to the upper part, and comes out from an outlet in the upper part. Electrolyte flowing zigzag sequentially fills each liquid storage groove 8, and is impregnated in each matrix 4 from corresponding liquid storage groove 8. |
