A scaffold comprises longitudinally extending beams 12 and at or near each end thereof a support 14 wherein the support comprises a pair of laterally spaced legs 16 each having an upright portion 18 and a horizontal portion 20; a carrying part comprising a flat plate 24 secured at opposite ends to the said horizontal portions near their intersection with the upright portions and on which the beams rest; and a cover part also comprising a flat plate 22 secured at opposite ends to the said horizontal portions being located above the carrying part by a distance slightly greater than the thickness of the beams and being longitudinally spaced from the carrying part and being more remote than the carrying part from the upright portions of the legs. <IMAGE> |
