PURPOSE:To obtain easily a starting material for ferrite having superior magnetic performance by selecting flaky mill scale out of mill scale produced in a stage for hot rolling steel, drying the flaky mill scale, adding graphite powder to the scale, and finely pulverizing them. CONSTITUTION:Flaky mill scale is selected out of mill scale produced in a stage for hot rolling steel. The flaky mill scale contg. <=2% spherical mill scale is dried to <=1% water content, 1-15wt% graphite powder is added to the dried mill scale, and they are finely pulverized. A proper amount of org. solvent such as alcohol may be added to the dried mill scale before fine pulverization. By this method a starting material for ferrite having superior characteristics such as superior saturation magnetization and stable quality and undergoing little secular change is obtd. |
