Carton conveyor is used to move folded cartons towards a stapling machine. Four conveyors are made up from two continuous, stacked bands fitted to frames adjustable in one transverse direction vertical to the direction of running. The frames are divided into two stays independently adjustable in a transverse direction for the purpose of forward movement of the folded cartons by the four conveyors. Both stays of each conveyor lie opposite to each other. When folded cartons are moved by three conveyors the two upper stays which lie on the larger side of the carton in relation to the upper head act together with the two lower stays which lie on either side of the lower head. An intermediate conveyor is thus formed between the two stapling lines. A conveyor located on the edge puts an upper and lower outer stay out of action. |
