The apparatus described is an electronic electrostimulator capable of producing a rectangular, triangular or sinusoidal wave, whose frequency, adjustable from 20 to 70 Hz, can be modulated by a wave of a frequency adjustable from 0.5 to 3 Hz. The apparatus contains a current limiter with adjustment from 0 to 100 mA of the output current and an adjustment from 0 to 30 V peak to peak of the output voltage. The degree of the modulation can be adjusted from 0 to 100 %. The electrical signal is injected on a cylindrical electrode-probe of diameter 10 to 22 mm, made of insulating material, fitted at its end with a sleeve freeing to a greater or lesser extent three electrodes disposed on the periphery of the cylinder. The end is rounded. The probe is connected to the apparatus by a flexible electrical cable. The probe constitutes the element for transmission of the electrical stimulation, which is applied rectally in the subprostate region, with the aim of promoting ejaculation in the paraplegic. The apparatus thus allows collection of the sperm of the paralysed man, which is then transferred by artificial insemination to the prospective mother.
