A brake pressure control unit is proposed for a dual circuit vehicle brake system with control valves, which are arranged side by side and the operating tappets (2, 3) of which lie on the same side. Between a control member (4) transmitting the control force and the two operating tappets (2, 3) a rocker element (6) is supported, the bearing surface for the rocking movement being cylindrical surfaces (11, 12; 22, 23) in contact along a line. Perpendicular to the plane in which the rocking movement is performed, the rocker element (6) is supported on the control member (4) by bearing on surfaces (30, 31); one surface (23, 24) of the surfaces (23, 24; 30, 31) of a pair of support surfaces assigned to one another is three-dimensionally curved and bears with point contact on the other surface (30, 31) so that no moment of friction which influences the rocking movement is produced. <IMAGE>
