<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of wheel uncontrolling or kickback at high speed as well as in time of acceleration or deceleration, by controlling the damping force adjustment of a damping force variable type buffer installed in position between a car body and a steering system, according to a car speed and a state of car driving. CONSTITUTION:In a damping force variable type buffer, its damping force adjustment takes place by a valve mechanism utilizing rotation in a motor 34 which is provided with each of sliders 41 and 42 being solidly rotated with its rotor, and the said valve mechanism is operated so as to cause damping force to be set to being large (hard) when these sliders 41 and 42 are situated in a full- line position or a stroke end of one side of these sliders, and when reverse is the case, the damping force is set to being small (soft). Each of switches 46 and 49 in a motor driving circuit is selected to the soft or hard side by the output of a speed sensor 52 and a driving state sensor 53 via control box 39 whereby the motor 34 is turned round to the soft or hard side, thus damping force in the buffer is adjusted.</p> |
