The invention relates to a clamping device for windsurfing sails, having rope lengths and belaying cleats for lashing the rope lengths. Seated on both aluminium tubes of the boom are displaceably arranged tubes made from correspondingly flexible plastic and on the rear ends of which the belaying cleats are provided and on the front ends of which a tensioning and locking device is provided, which can be provided in the form of upper and lower tension cams, the locking device being installed in each case in the lower tension cams. It is also possible to form a block and tackle system on the front ends of the plastic tube by means of pipe lengths having a built-in rope pulley in conjunction with a deflecting block with a slotted cleat and a further rope pulley.
