PURPOSE:To restore instantly a communication line by synthesizing outputs of an active and a spare series to apply the result to a common series and changing over an input data signal to a spare time division multiple access means from an active time division multiple access means if a fault of the active system series occurs. CONSTITUTION:Burst outputs of an intermediate frequency band transmitted from the active TDMA (time division multiple access) device 1a and the spare TDMA device 1b are synthesized by a synthesizer 4 and converted into a signal of radio frequency band by a frequency converter 2. The output is amplified (3) in power and transmitted to an antenna system. At normal communication, the TDMA device 1a transmits a synchronous burst S2a and a data burst D2, for example, and the TDMA device 1b transmits only a synchronous burst S2b. If a fault occurs in the TDMA device 1a, the data signal input is changed over to the TDMA device 1b and the TDMA device 1b transmits the data burst D2 instead.
