PURPOSE:To prevent a heat transfer pipe from corrosion and wear, by oxidizing the atmosphere surrounding the pipe by supplying gas containing oxygen to the neighborhood of the pipe in a fluidized bed combustion apparatus which is used in reducing atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:Feed pipes 17 to feed injection medium containing oxygen in the neighborhood of a heat transfer pipe 5 are provided in a fluidized bed 3. The heat transfer pipe 5 is laid in the fluidized bed 3. The atmosphere surrounding the outer surface of a heat transfer pipe 5 is made into the oxidizing atmosphere by the injected meduim, although the fluidized bed 3 itself is operated in the reducing atmosphere as a whole. With such an arrangement, the heat transfer pipe 5 is prevented from being stained by sulfide, the combustion efficiency in the fluidized bed 3 is increased, in addition, the desulfurizing rate can be increased because of promotion of oxidative effect. |
