The invention relates to a change-over strongbox lock, with a bolt consisting of a bolt head and bolt shank and with a plurality of tumblers which each have, in addition to a key channel, a lock channel for a turn pin arranged on the bolt shank, a recess for a limiting pin fastened to the lock case, and, at the rear end, catch depressions for a retaining pin which, to change over the tumblers, can be displaced by the key rotatable beyond the normal range of rotation and, at the same time, can be lifted out of the catch depressions counter to the force of a return spring. To simplify the construction of a strongbox lock of this type and to achieve a functionally reliable change-over of the tumblers, the retaining pin is arranged on a slide which is guided in a longitudinal direction in the bolt shank so as to be displaceable between two positions, during a rotation of the respective key beyond the normal range of rotation the slide being displaceable relative to the tumblers in such a way that the retaining pin is lifted out of the catch depressions of the tumblers and retained in the lifted-out position, for which purpose a guide face engaging on the retaining pin is formed on one tumbler.
