PURPOSE:To reduce power consumption and an electric conduction rate, and to improve the reliability and the operability by constituting the titled device so that a driving force is not transferred from the second driving means to a control means, when a transfer supporting body is in a state that it has been separated from an image carrying body. CONSTITUTION:A transfer drum 52 is energized clockwise around an axis 91b at the time of an operating state, held in a contact state to a photosensitive drum 1 and executes a transfer operation, and when an operating lever 94 is rotated clockwise, a cam 93 is rotated clockwise and engaged to a roller 63. By this operation, the inside unit rotates counterclockwise around the axes 91b, 91a, and a control roller 81 is engaged to a projection 82 of a control arm 79. The control arm 79 rotates clockwise around an axis 76, and as a result, as for a control arm gear 78, its engaged state to gears 75, 77 is released. In this regard, when the operating lever 94 is rotated in the opposite direction, the reverse operation is executed. In this way, the total power consumption of the whole device is reduced remarkably. |
