PURPOSE:To perform surely and easily laser cutting with high accuracy by performing cutting so as to leave plural unworked parts of the width approximately equal to the diameter of a laser beam then irradiating the laser beam to the unworked parts and cutting said parts. CONSTITUTION:Laser cutting to a quadrilateral figure is performed so as to leave unworked parts 10-13 of the width V approximately equal to the diameter of the beam. The laser beam is then irradiated to the part 10 in the position of a circle 14 to cut the unworked part 10. Since the part 10 is preliminarily cut at the cutting width W up to the positions on both sides 15, 16 of said part, the loss by the heat transmission of the absorbed energy is decreased and the entire part attains the specified temp. or above. The cutting is thus satisfactorily accomplished without leaving any projection. Since a square part 8 is held by the other uncut parts 11-13, the influence of the deflection by the assist gas is obviated. The other parts 11, 12 are cut in the same way. The cutting at the specified width W up to both ends 19, 20 is completed for the part 13 and since the part 13 is very small, the working is completed without the influence of deflection. |
