PURPOSE:To enable a damper characteristic to be optionally changed, by forming a plurality of slit-shaped orifices in a cylinder, to which a piston is fitted, and rotatably fitting an adjusting tube, provided with an adjusting long hole in the axial direction, to the outside of said cylinder. CONSTITUTION:This oil damper 5 suitable for a test, in which an automobile running at a fixed speed is caused to collide and inverted to be discharged, so- called roll over test, equips a cylinder 13 mounted to be bridged between an adjusting head 11 integrally formed with a front hood 9 and a back head 10 and forming orifices 12... of predetermined length in the peripheral direction successively narrowing their distance in the axial direction. While a piston 15 integrally formed with a rod 16 is slidably housed in the cylinder 13, and an adjusting tube 20 forming an adjusting long hole 21 in the lengthwise direction is rotatably fitted to the outside of the cylinder 13. Then a delivery pressure drop of oil 23 in the cylinder 13 can be adjusted by loosening bolts 8 and adjusting a rotary position of the adjusting tube 20. |
