PURPOSE:To prevent a belt from being longitudinally split due to a large lump by swingably screwing a roller receiver to a supporting frame and, when a large lump is mixed in, removing a pressing lock for said roller receiver and for said roller supporting frame, swinging a shape retaining roller and opening a belt to remove the large lump mixed in. CONSTITUTION:When a belt split prevention device detected that a large lump get mixed in and as a conveyor is stopped, a handle 14, which fixes a roller receiver 6 for a shape retaining roller 4 at the part where the large lump is mixed in, is rotated. And a retainer board 14a in an integrated form with the handle 14 is shifted from the surface of the roller receiver 6, releasing a pressing lock for both the roller receiver 6 and a roller supporting frame 5, to make the shape retaining roller 4 freely swingable. Then by opening a belt 2 upward, the large lump mixed within the belt 2 is removed, thereby preventing the belt 2 from being longitudinally split. |
