PURPOSE:To improve the discriminating ability of a remote control signal and a noise signal by driving a remote control photodetecting circuit in synchronization with the remote control signal in a device using infrared-rays used for a television receiver or the like as a transmission medium. CONSTITUTION:A signal detecting circuit 5 detects the photodetection of the remote control signal by using a signal located at a data part of the remote control signal by using a clearly different signal from a data part, and a pulse wave in synchronization with the remote control signal is outputted from a pulse generating circuit 6 at the same time. A switching transistor (TR) 13 is driven by the pulse wave, the TR13 is turned on only for a time where a pulse required for the discrimination of the bit of the remote control signal exists to supply power to the photodetection circuit 2 thereby being controlled. Thus, an output waveform is obtained at a detection circuit 4 even if a noise signal is mixed in the remote control signal. |
