PURPOSE:To perform precise heat treatment while performing the measurement of quality, by providing a means wherein the surface of matter to be processed is irradiated with laser beam and the speckle pattern obtained by the scattered interference beam thereof is subjected to Fourier conversion to select the converted image. CONSTITUTION:Laser beam 8 is transmitted from a laser transmitter 7 and projected beam is allowed to irradiate and scan the edge 2a of scissors 1 through a lens 9 to perform surface hardening treatment. The speckle pattern obtained by scattered interference beam from the edge 2a is received by a Fourier conversion lens 12 and the Fourier conversion image is condensed through a condensing lens 13 to be automatically detected by a beam detector 15. From this result, the shape abnormality, the flaw, the sharpness or the surface roughness of the edge 2a is detected to measure the quality thereof and a good peoduct, to which uniform surface hardening treatment is applied, is selected. |
