PURPOSE:To obtain a molded woody material good in appearance and hand feeling, by drying and gounding chaff into the fine particles, mixing the particles with a vinyl chloride resin, and molding the mixture. CONSTITUTION:After an adhesive 1 of a urea type resin is added to chaff (a) followed by heating to cure the adhesive, the chaff is ground into fine particles 2 having a size of 120-300 mesh, which are dried well. Though chaff (a) itself has cellulose that is tougher than usual wood and is higher in density, since the chaff (a) containes acetic acid, the chaff (a) shold be heated enough to be dried so that the acid gas to be expelled may be dispersed. By grinding the chaff (a) into fine particles having a size of 120-300 mesh, the particles become good in compatibility with a vinyl chloride resin or the like, and the resin integrally adheres to the circumferential surface of the particle 2. The thus obtained woody material is high in melting point and good in heat resistance, and can be sawed or a nail can be driven thereinto. |
