PURPOSE:To drive a motor even when an inverter is defective by switching a contactor when any of the inverter and a converter gets defective, thereby driving an induction motor by the output of the normal one. CONSTITUTION:When a transistor of an inverter 3 is shortcircuited, a large shortcircuiting current is flowed. Accordingly, a contactor is deenergized to open normally open contacts 7a, 15a, and to close normally closed contacts 7b, 15b. Thus, the power of a battery 11 is applied through the normally closed contact 7b to a converter 4, the output of the converter 4 is applied through a current transformer CT, and AC reactor 6 and the normally closed contact 15b to an induction motor 1, which is driven by the converter 4. |
