PURPOSE:To prevent as securely as possible a transfer material from being wrinkled and obtain a favorable image, by a method wherein at least one of guide parts for fitting a transfer material in a predetermined condition is provided with a wrinkling-preventing means for preventing the transfer material from being wrinkled. CONSTITUTION:A thermal transfer ribbon 15 is guided by the guide parts 33c, 33d of a casing 33, and the guide parts 33c, 33d are provided with streaks 42... as the wrinkling-preventing means 41. Accordingly, concurrently with the feeding of the ribbon 15, the ribbon 15 is energized outward with a central part in the width direction thereof as a boundary, the ribbon is prevented from being wrinkled due to internal stresses, and a favorable image can be obtained. |
