An anti-theft device for outboard engines consists partly of a slotted pipe designed to absorb rattling (2a) to the engine's mounting bolts (2) of hardened material. These bolts are tapped into the engine's suspension brackets (1). At its one end, the pipe (10) is designed to be sealed by an end plug (11) equipped with a cylinder lock (12). The one mounting bole (2) is inserted into a pipe sleeve (9) equipped with an opening (9a) of a greater dimension and smaller length than the slotted pipe (10). The latter is then inserted into the pipe sleeve (9). The slot in the pipe (10a) interacts with flat areas (2b) it is in contact with on each bolt, so that the bolts are prevented from turning. The ends of the bolts interact with support washers (6) attached to the transom stern of the boat (14).<IMAGE> |
