PURPOSE:To obtain an operand reader less in reference volume of a memory and having an alignment function by reading data including a long operand from the memory, and shifting the data right and left by a necessary quantity. CONSTITUTION:Read-out data are divided into 8-byte blocks and respective blocks are stored in shunt registers 25-28. How to store respective blocks is determined by a shunt register I/O control device 32 and controlled by control lines 45-48. Selection of any one of outputs inputted from respective shunt registers 25-28 to selectors 29, 30 is controlled by shunt register output control lines 49, 50 from a control device 32. The outputs of the selectors 29, 30 are connected to an aligner 31 and the inputted 16-byte data are cyclically shifted right or left by the necessary quantity to position the operand or a part of that right or left justified. Consequently, the output fed to an 8-byte operand data line 44 is inputted to an arithmetic device. |
