PURPOSE:To know the number of charging packets with a simple method by incorporating a packeting section and a packet counter in a facsimile equipment, counting the number of packets of the data being sent, and displaying the result on a display section. CONSTITUTION:Image data read by an input section 4 is sent to a communication section 6 via a control section 1. In the communication section 6, image data is divided into packet lengths matching a predetermuned network at the packet section 6a of the section 6 for packeting. The packeted image data is then sent to a communication procedure control section 6c and further sent out to a network in accordance with a predetermined procedure. Then, every time the packeted data is sent from the packeting section 6a to the procedure control section 6c, a packet counter 6b is incremented, and when the image data is all sent out, the value counted by the counter 6b is sent to a display section 2 via the control section 1, and displayed thereon. |
