PURPOSE:To attain excellent accuracy in the nonlinear characteristic of input versus output relation and also a desired nonlinearity easily by changing the number of transistors (TR) activated as diodes provided in a current path of the 1st and the next stage amplifiers so as to control the amplification characteristic with nonlinearity. CONSTITUTION:In order to attain the desired nonlinearity characteristic, n-set of TRs are employed actually as TRs Q3, Q4 and Q5, Q6. When an input signal Vin is applied, a current I1 flows to Q3, Q4, Q1 and a current I2 flows to Q5, Q6, Q2. Denoted the ratio I1/I2 as 1:X1, then an output voltage DELTAVT appearing between output lines A and B is decided by equation DELTAVT=nhlnX1. In order to obtain a desired nonlinear characteristic, m-set of TRs are employed actually as TRs Q13, Q14 and Q15, Q16. When a TRQ11 is turned on with the output voltage DELTAVT, a current I11 flows to the Q11, Q13, Q14 and a current I12 flows to the Q12, Q15, Q16. Denoted the ratio I11/I12 as 1:y, then the value (y) is obtained as y=X1(n/m). |
