<p>The beack shield has two side pieces (1) joined at the back by a bracket (2) and the front bottom by a tongue (3), which has a foot (4) joined to the tongue by a reinforced part forming a fold and a crosswise groove (5). Each side (1) has a hole (6) in the top, in which is inserted a pin (7). Each side also has a further two holes (8, 9) in which a fixture pin is inserted through the birds nostrils. The lower sides (11) of the sides (1) are upward curved as are the sides (12) of the tongue (3). A second tongue or flexible flap (13) is joined by a narrow part (14) to the back bracket (2) and has downward curved sides to go over the top part of the birds beak. The flap (13) has a raised end (15). A flexible pad (17) is fixed to the underneath surface of the end front part of the flap (13).</p> |
