PURPOSE:To improve wear resistance by making a pump body of an aluminium alloy and casting a sleeve made of a wear resistant material into a surface portion for sliding and fitting in a unit insertion hole in an injection pump including a pump single cylinder unit assembled into the pump body. CONSTITUTION:A fuel injection pump is constructed by fitting a proper number of sets of pump single cylinder units A each provided with a barrel 2 into which a plunger 3 is inserted in respective unit insertion holes 14 inside a pump body 1. Each plunger 3 is reciprocated by rotation of a cam shaft 22 within a cam chamber 18 via a cam 8, a cam roller 6, a roller guide 7 to pressurize a fuel in a fuel pressurizing chamber 24, allowing said pressurized fuel to be forcedly fed to respective fuel injection valves via a delivery valve 5. The pump body 1 is casted with an aluminium alloy, and a sleeve 12 made of a metal material more wear resistant than said aluminium alloy is integrally casted at its casting into a portion of the unit insertion hole 14 for sliding and fitting for a sliding member such as a roller guide 14, etc. |
