NEW MATERIAL:To compound of formula I {R1 is H or lower alkyl; R2 is alkyl or -A-Z-Ar [A is lower alkyl; Z is single bond, O or S; Ar is (substituted) phenyl, thienyl or furyl];R3 is H or OH} or its salt. EXAMPLE:23-Acetylamino-23-demycinosyl-23-deoxydesmycosin. USE:Antibacterial agent against Gram-positive bacteria, etc., remedy for infectious diseases of animals, and feed additive for the prevention of infection and the promotion of growth. It has stronger antibacterial activity than known tylosin. PREPARATION:The amino compound of formula II [R4 is -CHO or group of formula III (R41 and R42 are lower alkyl); R5 is H or -OR6 (R6 is OH-protecting group)] is N-acylated with the carboxylic acid of formula R2-COOH or its reactive derivative to obtain the compound of formula IV. The OH-protecting group of the product is eliminated, and when R4 is group of formula III, the product is subjected to the deacetalization reaction. |
