PURPOSE:Sodium alginate, water-soluble high-molecular-weight polymer and a calcium salt easily soluble in water are added to starting materials for fish feed to increase its handleability and feed intake by fishes. CONSTITUTION:The starting materials for fish feed are combined with sodium alginate (e.g., 1-3wt%), a water-soluble high molecular weight polymer (e.g., 1-3wt%) and a calcium salt easily soluble in water such as calcium phosphate or calcium lactate (e.g., 0.5-1.5wt%), then they are kneaded and formed. The resultant formed product is pellets of good handleability and stimulates appetite of fishes. |
