PURPOSE:To realize a device with which a user can recognize a digit feeding mistake of his/her code number by calculating the difference between a stored code number and an input number and dividing this difference by nine to detect that the residue is equal to zero. CONSTITUTION:When an ID card is put into a ID card reading part 8, the information on the code number stored on magnetic stripes is stored to a memory part 1 for ID card code number. When a user feeds the numeric characters of four digits through a ten-key part 9, these characters are stored to a ten-key input number memory part 2. Then the difference of contents is calculated by a subtraction part 3 between the parts 8 and 2. When this calculated value is equal to zero, a code number coincidence detecting number 4 is delivered to an external circuit. No signal 4 is delivered if the user makes a mistake to feed the digits of his/her code number. Then the result of calculation of the part 3 is divided by nine at a division part 5, and this residue is delivered to a residue detecting part 6. An error of input order of digits is suspected in case the residue is equal to zero. Thus a display part drive signal 7 is delivered to a display part 10 to inform the possibility of an error to the user. Both signals 4 and 7 are not delivered in case the input of the secret number is totally wrong. |
